TONIGHT'S MATCHUP

KINGS (26-20-1-0) - 2nd in West

Since struggling to score earlier this month the Kings have found the back of the net again. They’ve outscored their opponents 17-3 in their last three gmes.

Right now the Kings sit second in the West Division, three points up on Waywayseecappo. They’re even in games with the Wolverines. Dauphin is five points ahead of Neepawa, but the Titans now have three games in hand. Wayway is in Winkler tonight while Neepawa visits Niverville.

Special Teams were very good Friday night in the club’s win over the Monarchs. Their Power Play was 3 for 4 and their Penalty Kill was 5 for 5. The Kings are now 6th in the MJHL on the man advantage at 23.2%. Their Penalty Kill bumped up to 78% which is 9th.

Nicholas Zaharias (13G, 27A) remains the Kings leading scorer with 40 points.

BLUES (12-30-3-0) - 6th in East

The Winnipeg Blues were officially eliminated from playoff contention recently, so like the Monarchs they are trying to play spoiler to some teams.

The Blues have just 13 games to go in what has been a little bit better of a season. In 2024-25 they had just nine wins. This year they’re currently at 12. It’s an improvement for sure, but the club still has a long way to go if the want to make the playoffs down the road.

Winnipeg’s Power Play is 11th in the MJHL at 13.8% while their Penalty Kill is 8th at 78.8%.

Campbell Epp leads Winnipeg in scoring with 18 goals and 19 assists for 37 points.
