Kings, Terriers Kick Off Back-To-Back Weekend

DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings return to Credit Union Place tonight as they host the Portage Terriers in game four of their best-of-seven MJHL Semi Final.

TICKET OFFICE IS OPEN FROM 10:00AM TO GAME TIME (7:30pm)!

Dauphin will look to carry over their excellent play from Tuesday's third period in Portage where they dominated the Terriers. If it wasn't for a couple posts and crossbars the series may look much different coming into this evening's affair. Dauphin leads the set 2-1.

TONIGHT'S MATCH UP

The Kings attempt to keep home ice advantage with a win at Credit Union Place. It will be a bit of a battle for both teams as tonight marks the start of back-to-back games. Game five will happen tomorrow night in Portage. Game six, if needed, will happen Monday at Credit Union Place. All games from here on out are 7:30pm starts.

Dauphin's Special Teams started slow in the game against the Terriers in Portage on Tuesday but as things went on the Kings looked very good once again on their Power Play. Entering tonight the Kings are sitting at 24.1% on the man advantage. On home ice they have been very good and are currently at 26.7%. Penalty Kill wise the Kings continue to improve as well. They're at 83.3% over all and 80% at home.

For Portage the Terriers are at 13.2% on the man advantage overall. On the road their Power Play is at 15%. Portage's Penalty Kill has been solid throughout the MJHL Playoffs and coming into this evening they're at 86.5% overall. However, on the road they're at 76.9%.

LEADING SCORERS

Not much changed for the Dauphin Kings when it comes to overall scoring in the post season. Cayden Glover picked up an assist in the loss on Tuesday and leads the Kings in points with three goals and six assists. Behind Glover there are three players with seven points. Gabriel Bugeaud (3G, 4A), Matthew Thomas (3G, 4A) & Havryil Simchuk (2G, 5A) are all tied.

On the Portage side the Terriers' top player is Cameron Bullinger. He has no goals but seven assists so far in the post season.
