TONIGHT'S MATCHUP

KINGS (10-4-1-0)

Dauphin will look for 60 minute efforts over the next two games. That was a bit of the problem last week when the team was on the road in Steinbach and Niverville. The Kings had the chance to grab four points with leads late in the third period both nights, but ended up losing both contests in regulation.

This is the conclusion of a four game road swing for the Kings as they'll return to Credit Union Place on Sunday. However, right after that game Dauphin returns to the road for another three straight before kicking off a stretch that will see them play nine of their last 11 games before the Christmas Break on home ice.

Special Teams have been good and not great for the Kings lately. Dauphin's Penalty Kill has been solid and sits 3rd in the MJHL at 87%. Their Power Play is doing ok but could be improved on. It's at 20% which is 6th overall.

Havryil Simchuk (7G, 9A) is atop the Kings in points with 16.

TERRIERS (10-5-1-0)

The Portage Terriers occupy the final playoff spot in the MJHL's East Division. They come into tonight's affair with the Kings with wins in three of their last four games. They are currently the most penalized team in the MJHL with 452 minutes. The next closest is Winkler at 432. The Kings are at 178 and at the bottom of that category.

After this weekend's set with the Kings the Terriers go to Winkler on November 11th before opening up a five game home stand later this month.

As mentioned the Terriers are the most penalized team in the MJHL right now but their PK has done a good job keeping them in games. It's currently 5th in the league at 85.3%. On the Power Play the Terriers are ranked 10th at 17.9%.

Rhett Platt is the leading scorer of the Terriers so far this season. He has eight goals and 14 assists for 22 points.
