Kings Take Down Wolverines 4-1

DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings gave up the game's first goal but stormed back with four unanswered in a 4-1 victory over the Wayway Wolverines Friday Night at Credit Union Place.

After giving up the game's first goal Kyle Oleksiuk (12) got the Kings back on even terms on a nice setup from Jaxon Heeney. The goal knotted things at one before Thomas Hansell notched his 11th of the campaign to earn his team a 2-1 advantage after 20 minutes with Wayway edging the Kings in shots 12-11.

The middle frame didn't see any goals, but Dauphin heavily outplayed the Wolverines, besting them 16-7 in shots.

In the third period the Kings were finally able to break through and put the game away. First it was Jaymes Knee (10) who used his speed to break free and score on a breakaway. Later in the frame Hansell (12) scored his second of the night to make it a 4-1 game for Dauphin.

The Kings significantly out shot the Wolverines Friday 46-28. Justin Anderson took the win between the pipes for Dauphin while neither team was able to score on the Power Play in the affair.
