THE PAS, MB - The Dauphin Kings had no problem taking care of business went they went up north this time, beating the OCN Blizzard 4-1 at the GLMC.
The Kings got off to a hot start when Grady Hobbs (28) scored early in the opening period. Then the newest King, Bryson Cecconi, tallied his first in the MJHL to give Dauphin a 2-0 advantage.
The Kings would take their 2-0 lead into the middle frame and build on it when Baron Thompson (20) was treated to a penalty shot which he snapped home midway through the period.
In the third Dauphin continued their solid play, but OCN would be given some power play time and score to make the affair 3-1. However, that's as close as they would get. Avery Smith (11) would add an empty netter to finish things off.
Another strong effort from Kings goalie Levi Mitchell. He turned 25 of 26 shots away. His time pushed 38 on the OCN goal.
Dauphin finished the night 0 for 3 on the power play and 5 for 6 on the penalty kill.
The Kings see their next action on Friday when they welcome the Portage Terriers to Credit Union Place for just the second time this season.Don't forget it's Parent & Pride Night! Dauphin's record is now 20-17-3-2 on the season and they've won two straight contests.
