DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings announced Friday they have made a trade with the SIJHL's Dryden Ice Dogs.
The move sees the Kings send 19 year old defenceman Dawson Bacon to the Ice Dogs in exchange for 20 year old forward Mark Ziobro.
In 43 games last season Ziobro put up three goals and seven assists for 10 points. He also helped the Ice Dogs reach Ontario's Dudley Hewitt Cup where they fell short in the round robin.
"Mark has the skill set that we've been looking to add to our forward group. He plays the game the right way and provides toughness and a professional approach" says Kings Head Coach & General Manager Marc Berry.
"I'm extremely happy to be a part of the Kings. The community supports the team very well. Coming to a new team, the players and fans can expect a fast hard working player who moves the puck and makes plays. I'm a gritty two way player who is not scared to back down from anything and like to be where the puck is. I take pride in how hard I am to play against. I'll always stand up for my teammates and be a leader both on and off the ice. I'm looking forward to helping Dauphin make this season a successful one" says Ziobro.
The Kings would like to wish Dawson Bacon all the best in his hockey career and welcome Mark Ziobro to the City of Sunshine!
