TONIGHT'S MATCH UP

KINGS (35-16-2-1) - 1st in West

With four games remaining in their season the Dauphin Kings need to win two more to secure top spot in the MJHL's West Division. Tonight marks the start of the final seven days of the season. For the Kings they'll close it out at home next Saturday against the Waywayseecappo Wolverines.

Dauphin will remember their last game against Swan Valley, one that they lost 4-2 at Credit Union Place just under one month ago. The contest had the Kings not play their best and miss out on two important points when it comes to the overall standings. So far this year the Kings are 4-1 against the Stampeders.

Dauphin's Special Teams Friday night weren't at their best. So now they sit 3rd in the MJHL on the Power Play at 23.5% and on the Penalty Kill they're 5th at 82.5%.

Gavin Nemis (14G, 36A) remains two points back of Cayden Glover (52) for the team lead in scoring.

STAMPEDERS (16-31-5-2) - 6th in West

The Swan Valley Stampeders are playing out the season and looking to play spoiler in their final four games of the campaign. The Stamps are currently on an eight game home stand.

The stretch has seen Swan Valley go 2-3 so far. Last time out they grabbed a 4-2 win over the Winnipeg Blues and on this home stand they have a 5-1 victory over the Portage Terriers in February. So the Kings should not take them lightly.

On the Special Teams side the Stampeders are 10th in the MJHL on the man advantage at 18.6%, but at home they're clicking at a 22.1% pace. Their Penalty Kill is 11th at 73.9%.

Landen Gulutzan (20G, 42A) is the leading scorer of the Stampeders. He enters tonight's game with 62 points.
