Kings Spring Camp A Great Success!

DAUPHIN, MB – The Dauphin Kings closed out their 2016-17 hockey season this past weekend when they held their annual Spring Camp at Credit Union Place.

This year’s edition of the camp was a bit different than others in the past. This time the Kings held special on ice skill testing sessions on the first day of the event which saw players show off their skating, puck handling, agility and strength (Some below).

After the opening day of on ice testing the Kings held a special Information Session which was very well attended in the Parkland Rec Complex’s Lions Den. It gave the Kings an opportunity to show everyone what the club is all about. The session included a Kings recruitment video, information on college hockey and a couple power point presentations that showed what the Kings do throughout the hockey season.

Following on ice testing and the Information Session Friday night the Kings got back on the ice Saturday with practices for all five of their Spring Camp teams.

Practices gave players a chance to see what exactly what a Junior A practice is like in Dauphin with Kings Head Coach and General Manager Marc Berry running a handful of the practices. You can check out some of the highlights from each team below!

After practices on Friday all of the players saw their first game action on the Credit Union Place ice surface. The games carried over until Sunday evening when the camp concluded.

Along with the games the Kings held meetings with players during the weekend. In total over 80 players attended the Kings Spring Camp and Draft Combine.

Some game highlights below of a couple shoot outs and a camp recap with Kings Head Coach and General Manager Marc Berry!
