DAUPHIN, MB – The Dauphin Kings announced Wednesday that they have signed Head Scout & Director Of Player Personnel Mitch Kirkup to a contract that keeps him with the team through the 2018-19 hockey season.
Kirkup has been with the Kings since 2014.
“Getting Mitch locked up means a lot to our hockey club. He’s a valuable part of the scouting and recruiting process. Mitch goes to roughly 210 games during the season and is excellent at promoting our program to players and their parents” says Kings Head Coach and General Manager Marc Berry.
“When the opportunity presented itself to sign with the Kings for another three years it was an easy decision for me. ”Dauphin is a great junior hockey community and a proud organization with a rich history” notes Kirkup.
“As an organization we’re very happy with the prospects in the Kings’ system. We’ve had successful drafts and have been able to add key list players. I’m really looking forward to September” added Kirkup.
