Kings Season Ends In Triple Overtime

DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings season has come to an end following a 2-1 triple overtime loss to the Northern Manitoba Blizzard in Game 7 of the MJHL Final.

NorMan opened the scoring Thursday night in the first period but Declan Hoad (2) would respond in the second, tying things up at one.

The game would go back and forth with the Blizzard eventually scoring the winner late in the third overtime.

Both teams finished 0 for 4 on the Power Play. Dauphin out shot the Blizzard 56-38.

Cole Sheffield shared the MVP Award for the Playoffs with Northern Manitoba's Taye Timmerman. It's the first time two goalies have shared the honour.

The Kings would like to again thank all our fans, sponsors, billets, volunteers and everyone who has supported us through the season.

We'll see you in September!
