DAUPHIN, MB - Two goals 21 seconds apart helped pace the Dauphin Kings to a 5-2 victory over the Swan Valley Stampeders Saturday night at Credit Union Place, their second win over their Parkland rival this week.

The Kings opened the scoring just over a minute in when Cayden Glover ended his goal drought with his 16th of the season. Swan Valley would score just past the midway point of the frame on the man advantage. Then Dauphin would close out the period with two quick goals. First Ty Pratte with his 1st as a King then Rylan Gage with is 5th of the year.

In the second period the Stampeders had the edge in the first half and were rewarded for their strong play to make it 3-2. Dauphin would pick up their play after that and Cayden Glover would notch his second of the game and 17th of the campaign. The Kings would take that 4-2 lead to the third.

In the final frame the Kings added one more goal, Matthew Haun's first with the club made it a 5-2 final.

Dauphin finished the night 1 for 3 on the Power Play and 4 for 6 on the Penalty Kill. Dauphin didn't receive their first man advantage until the early stages of the third period. At that point Swan Valley had had five opportunities.

Bryson Yaschyshyn was good in his start as a Dauphin King. He stopped 19 of 21 shots while the Kings had 38 on the Stampeders' goal.

The Kings improve to 15-5-1-0 on the season and have a record of 5-1-1-0 in the month of November. Now they'll hit the road for two games next week. First they'll head south to Waywayseecappo to play the Wolverines on Thursday. Then they'll visit the Terriers in Portage on Saturday.  Dauphin's next home game isn't until Friday November 29th when they Virden Oil Capitals come to town.
