One day after picking up their fifth win of the season, the Dauphin Kings will look to complete a sweep against a team that still hasn’t won a game this season.

The Selkirk Steelers are the only winless team in the league entering Saturday as they’re 0-7-1-1 entering the contest. Dauphin; meanwhile, improved their record to 5-5-1 on Friday night.

Friday’s game was a one that Dauphin dominated at points but the Steelers also showed they have the ability to play some very good hockey. Selkirk nearly tied Friday’s game with less than 30 seconds left after they trailed by a pair of goals with less than a minute left.

Cole Sheffield has started to show his true potential. After making 49 saves against Steinbach last Friday, he put together a second straight solid performance as he made 29 saves last night.

Dauphin’s power play continues to struggle heavily as they went 0-for-4 on Friday night, and they are now just 6-for-47 on the season. Their 12.8% is the third worst in the league, only ahead of the Titans and Flyers. The Kings have just three goals on the man advantage in their last 37 chances.

Dauphin is 3-2 against East Division opponents this season after back-to-back splits against the Blues and Pistons.
