The Kings begin the month of January in a decent position. They are first in the MJHL's West Division, four points ahead of both Virden and Neepawa. Dauphin has one game in hand on Neepawa and have played two more than Virden at this point. The Kings have 28 games left in their campaign.
Tonight marks the start of a stretch that will see the Kings play three of their next four games at Credit Union Place. They'll host Neepawa today, then Waywayseecappo on Tuesday and Steinbach on Friday. In the middle of that is a game in Portage on Wednesday against the Terriers.
The Kings' Special Teams enter the new year third in the league on the Power Play (23.7%) and sixth on the Penalty Kill (80.2%).
Nicholas Zaharias (9G, 23A) leads the Kings in points coming into this evening's affair. He has 32.
TITANS (17-13-0-1)
A successful month of December helped push the Neepawa Titans well inside the MJHL's playoff picture to start 2026. Five wins in the month has put Neepawa in a tie for second with the Virden Oil Capitals.
The Kings will play 10 games in January. Neepawa's schedule is the same with 10 contests and it's split down the middle with five games on home ice and five on the road. After today the Titans are at home for three of their next four. They'll play games against Niverville, Winkler and Swan Valley at home in that set.
Special Teams have also helped with the Titans' recent success. Both their Power Play and Penalty Kill are inside the top half of the MJHL. Neepawa's Power Play is rated sixth at 23.2% while their Penalty Kill is 5th at 81%.
Logan Paquette (10G, 21A) leads the Titans in points coming into the new year, he has 31.
