DAUPHIN, MB - Carter Sawchuk scored with four seconds left and Cole DeKoninck had two goals as the Kings picked up two key points in regulation with a 5-4 victory over the Winkler Flyers Friday night.

The Kings came out flat in the affair as they gave up the contest's first goal. Cole DeKoninck opened the scoring for Dauphin when he tallied his ninth of the campaign. The goal saw Mathew Shatsky earn an assist, his first point in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.

The middle frame saw four goals, three from Dauphin. First DeKoninck (10) added his second of the night. After Winkler tied things up at two Leeam Tivers picked up his seventh of season and then Avery Smith mixed in his ninth.

In the third period the Winkler Flyers battled back, they scored just over eight minutes in and then just before the 12 minute mark they tied things up.

With time winding down a loose puck found its way to Carter Sawchuk (13) who was behind the defence. He walked in a went to the backhand scoring with under four seconds left to lift the Kings to the victory.

Bryan Landsberger picked up the win in goal for the Kings. He turned aside 28 of the 32 shots he faced while his club fired 43 on the Winkler net.

The Flyers scored the lone power play goal of the night.

The win is a key regulation one for the Kings, putting them at 24-22-6 on the year and they remain in 6th spot in the MJHL Standings.

Next up is Treaty 2 Night for the Kings. They'll host the OCN Blizzard at Credit Union Place tomorrow night with puck drop slated for just after 7:30pm!
