DAUPHIN, MB - Mark your calendars, the Dauphin Kings Par 3 is slated to return this summer at the Dauphin Lake Golf Club on Saturday June 12th!
It's the 19th edition of the Par 3 Tournament that sees the golf course have all its holes turned into par 3's and cash prizes on every hole. Plus don't forget about the great meal and other prizes during the day!
This year will also be a special one for the Dauphin Lake Golf Club as it's their 100th Anniversary.
"We want to get into a situation where we're rotating the event every year so that golfers can see a different landscape each time they join us" says Kings Director of Business Operations Christian Laughland. "Last year's tournament at the Gilbert Plains Country Club was a huge success despite the COVID-19 pandemic and we're hoping we can carry the momentum forward for years to come."
In 2020 the Par 3 ended up being pushed to August and turned into a "Tee Time Start" rather than a "Shotgun Start" and it ended up working out very well.
"Our plan right now is to go back to a shotgun start" stated Laughland. "The tee times worked out very well last year considering the situation and the limited gatherings, but we're hoping this year we will be able to gather again and enjoy a great meal."
The tournament's meal this year will be provided by Temptations Catering!
"We'll have more details on food, costs and registration in the coming months but we wanted to get the word out about this year's tournament now because we know a lot of people like to mark it down on their calendars" Laughland noted.
