TONIGHT'S MATCH UP

KINGS (29-12-1-1) - 1st in West

With three games on the menu this week for the Dauphin Kings the next milestone for the club could be clinching a playoff spot. Coming into this week the Kings are 23 points ahead of the Waywayseecappo Wolverines who are 5th in the West. With 12 games left the most points Wayway can get to is 61, the Kings are at 60. So a win tonight by Dauphin would punch their ticket to the MJHL Post Season.

Games on this four game home stand are every other night. Tonight they play Swan, Friday they host Neepawa, Sunday they battle Niverville and on Tuesday next week they entertain Northern Manitoba.

Special Teams got better over the past weekend for the Kings. They've now killed off 14 of their last 15 penalties while they've scored twice on the Power Play Sunday. Dauphin's PP is sitting at 24.4% while their Penalty Kill is now up to 81.5%.

Cayden Glover (33G, 19A) remains out with an upper body injury and continues to lead the team in points with 52.

STAMPEDERS (12-27-4-2) - 6th in West

They're not mathematically eliminated from the MJHL Playoffs just yet, but every game right now is a must win for the Swan Valley Stampeders.

The good news for the Stampeders is after tonight's game against the Kings in Dauphin they'll begin a stretch in their schedule that will see them play 10 of their final 12 games on home ice. That includes two huge games against the Waywayseecappo Wolverines next week. Those two games may be the ones that decide Swan Valley's fate for the remainder of the season.

Special Teams for the Stampeders have their Power Play at 19.5% while their Penalty Kill is the worst in the MJHL at 72.8%.

Landen Gulutzan (17G, 34A) is the leading scorer of the Stampeders. He enters tonight's game with 51 points.
