The Kings are in Virden to play the Oil Capitals. It's the fourth meeting of the season with Virden taking the first three games so far. That means if they win tonight they will clinch their season series with the Kings and have the tie breaker if it ever came down to it.

Opening face off in Virden is set for 7:30pm and you can hear the game on 730 CKDM.

TONIGHT'S MATCHUP

KINGS (23-19-1-0) - 2nd in West

The Kings begin a two game in two night road swing tonight when they take on the Oil Capitals. After tonight Dauphin is in Winnipeg tomorrow to play the Monarchs. Following this weekend the Kings will play four of their next six on home ice. Then it'll get road heavy with five of the team's final seven games away from Credit Union Place.

When it comes to the standings in the West Division the Kings and Neepawa Titans are both tied for second place. Both are even in games played and have played four more than the first place Oil Capitals. They trail them by nine points with 15 games to go in their seasons.

Dauphin's Special Teams will look for a big game at Tundra Oil & Gas Place tonight. Their Power Play comes into the contest sitting 9th in the MJHL while their Penalty Kill is 9th as well at 78%.

Nicholas Zaharias is alone atop the Kings scoring with 10 goals and 26 assists for 36 points.

OIL CAPITALS (27-10-2-0) - 1st in West

The Virden Oil Capitals begin a very busy stretch tonight as they rip through February. Virden is slated to play 12 games in the next 22 days to close out the second month of the calendar year. Eight of those games will be away from Tundra Oil & Gas Place. A place where the Oil Capitals have lost just four games this season.

After the road swing and intense schedule to finish of February the Oil Capitals will have a much more favorable schedule to wrap of the year. In March they'll play five of their last seven games on home ice.

Special Teams remain a bit mixed for Virden coming into this evening's affair. Their Power Play is 4th in the MJHL at 23.6% but their Penalty Kill is 8th at 79.7%.

Bryce Bryant (23G, 35A) leads the Oil Capitals in points with 58, that total has him third overall in scoring in the MJHL.
