TONIGHT'S MATCH UP

KINGS (30-13-1-1) - 1st in West

The Kings will look to put some consistency back into their game today when they face off with Niverville. Dauphin is looking to string together wins but it's been difficult lately. They've won two of their last three but they've also lost three of their last five. So the club will try to string some wins together as we pass the midway point of February.

It's the second to last home game in this four game home stand for the Kings. They'll conclude it on Tuesday with a big tilt against the Northern Manitoba Blizzard. After that Dauphin will be on the road for almost two weeks before their next game at Credit Union Place on March 1st.

Dauphin's Special Teams have done well as of late. Entering tonight's game the club is 3rd in the MJHL on the Power Play at 24.3% while their Penalty Kill is now ranked 6th at 82.3%.

Cayden Glover (33G, 19A) continues his recovery from an upper body injury and still leads his team in points with 52.

NIGHTHAWKS (29-13-2-1) - 4th in East

A little bit of a different scenario for the Niverville Nighthawks as they come in to Dauphin tonight. Last week the Nighthawks met the Kings on Saturday and were well rested while Dauphin was playing their second game in as many nights. This time Niverville is playing their third game in as many days after beating Norman Saturday and Swan Valley Friday.

The whole East Division could be clinched when it comes to playoff spots quite soon. Winkler and Steinbach both clinched on Saturday night and the Nighthawks and Terriers could realistically have their spots wrapped up in the next week or two. Selkirk is currently 15 points behind Niverville for the final playoff spot in the East.

The Nighthawks' Special Teams are amongst the best in the league entering tonight. Their Penalty Kill is ranked #1 at 85.4% while their Power Play is sitting 4th at 23.1%

Adam Vigfusson (26G, 30A) leads the Nighthawks in scoring entering tonight's game, he has 56 points.
