DAUPHIN, MB - Ahead of the 2019-20 MJHL Showcase the Dauphin Kings have named their captains for the season.

Brendan Arnold is this year's team Captain while Baron Thompson, Grady Hobbs & Cole DeKoninck will be the assistants.

Arnold is now in his fourth season with the Dauphin Kings. He started back in 2016-17 where he put up five goals and 10 assists. In 2017-18 he was Captain of the Kings and last year he shared the honour with D-man Riley Shamray.

"It feels incredible and it's a huge honour to lead this team in my fourth season. It's even extra special because it's my 20 year old season and my last shot at trying to bring this team and the City of Dauphin to a championship" said Arnold.

Grady Hobbs and Cole DeKoninck, both 19, are assistant captains while the other 20 year old in the leadership group is forward Baron Thompson.

The Kings begin their schedule at the MJHL Showcase in Winnipeg Monday when they take on the Swan Valley Stampeders at the Seven Oaks Arena. Game time is slated for 6:00pm. Dauphin concludes their showcase Tuesday night at 6:00pm against the Selkirk Steelers.

The next Kings home game goes Friday when Dauphin hosts the Portage Terriers at Credit Union Place. The contest is presented by the Dauphin Fire Department at goes at 7:30pm!
