Kings Name Leadership Group

DAUPHIN, MB - Ahead of their season opener on Friday in Virden against the Oil Capitals the Dauphin Kings named their captains for the 2017-18 campaign.

After no captain for most of last year this season the Kings have named Winnipeg product Brendan Arnold as their team captain.

Arnold will have three assistants this year (Below). Twenty year olds Mark Ziobro (Right) and Wilson Northey (Middle) along with 19 year old Riley Shamray (Left).

"Brendan Arnold has wanted to be a Dauphin Kings since we drafted him as a 15 year old and is a player that has a lot of respect for where he is and what it takes to build a winning program" says Kings Head Coach and GM Marc Berry.

"All three assistant captains are veteran guys that have a lot of games played in junior hockey. Each of the three bring a different element to our leadership group" Berry added. "We're extremely happy with not only the guys that will wear letters for us this season but the leadership on the team as a whole."

"This is a huge honour for me, especially considering this year is the Kings 50th Anniversary season. I'm excited to get the season going and start moving towards bigger and better things" says Arnold.
