TONIGHT'S MATCHUP

KINGS (14-6-1-0)

It's a quick one off on the road for Dauphin tonight. This is the Kings' final away outing until December 16th as they get set to kick off a season high seven game home stand on Saturday night at Credit Union Place.

The Kings will try to extend their lead in the MJHL's West Division this evening. Last night the Virden Oil Capitals lost to the Winkler Flyers, so the Kings are five points ahead with two more games played. When it comes to a playoff spot Dauphin is in a great position at this point of the season. They are 16 points clear of Swan Valley who are currently on the outside looking in in 5th place.

Special Teams see the Kings with the MJHL's 2nd ranked Power Play at 25.4%. On the Penalty Kill side the Kings are now at 80% after going 3 for 3 against the Pistons on Friday. That puts them 7th in the MJHL.

Havryil Simchuk (11G, 13A) leads the Kings in points coming into this evening. He's got 24. Dauphin has nine players with 10+ points coming into tonight's tilt.

BLUES (8-8-2-0)

The Winnipeg Blues were in action last night, but it was a home game so no travel was involved. They picked up a big 5-2 win over the Selkirk Steelers. The win puts them 11 points back of the Steelers who occupy the final playoff spot in the East Division. Winnipeg has six games in hand on Selkirk.

The season hasn't been too bad for the Blues considering the circumstances. Tonight's game is the conclusion of a three game home stand for the Blues. They'll go out on the road for four straight after this. That swing will conclude in Dauphin on Saturday December 6th.

The Blues' Special Teams are in the bottom half of the MJHL. Their Penalty Kill is rated 8th at 77.8% while their Power Play is 11th at 20.3%.

Leading Winnipeg in scoring is Matthew O'Sullivan (15G, 8A), he has 23 points.
