TONIGHT'S MATCHUP
KINGS (10-5-1-0)
The Kings play their lone home game this week and won't return to Credit Union Place for two weeks after they entertain the Terriers today. Dauphin's road heavy schedule to start the season will wrap up after next week's games in Neepawa and Selkirk. They'll be back on home ice against Steinbach on November 21st after they face the Stampeders in Swan River earlier that week.
Dauphin will look for a more complete effort this evening after a not so great opening period Friday in Portage. Dauphin's second period at Stride Place on Friday was very good. They out shot the Terriers 17-10 in that middle frame and controlled the play.
The Kings' Special Teams went 1 for 4 on the Power Play Friday and 4 for 6 on the Penalty Kill.
Havryil Simchuk (7G, 10A) leads the Kings in points coming into tonight with 17.
TERRIERS (11-5-1-0)
The Portage Terriers are off to a hot start in November with two wins and they outscored their opponents 9-1 in those games. They've also won their last three games and sit just two points back of Selkirk for 3rd place in the MJHL's East Division.
Portage plays two road games in the next three days and then kick off a five game home stand later in the week. A chance to really move up in their division.
Trevor Hill (14G, 9A) and Rhett Platt (9G, 14A) both lead the Terriers with 23 points.
