TONIGHT'S MATCHUP

KINGS (16-7-1-0)

After an off night on Sunday the Kings will try to get back to their winning ways. The club will have to do it without forward Ethan Stewart who has joined Team Canada West at the World Junior A Challenge in Quebec. Dauphin finished the month of November with a 6-5-0-0 record after going 7-1-1-0 in October and 3-1-0-0 in September.

It's game three of a seven game home stand for the Kings. They'll get two days off before returning to action on Saturday when they host the Winnipeg Blues for Hockey Card Night!

Special Teams for the Kings struggled in Sunday's loss to Winkler. Dauphin is now at 23.7% on the Power Play, dropping to 5th in the MJHL. Their Penalty Kill is 6th at 80.7%.

Havryil Simchuk remains the Kings leader in scoring with 13 goals and 14 assists for 27 points.

OIL CAPITALS (14-8-0-0)

As mentioned the Oil Capitals are coming off that 4-1 win over the Selkirk Steelers last night. It's Virden's third win in their last five games. Before yesterday they had dropped two straight.

Virden's month of December will be a difficult one when it comes to travel. Tonight marks the start of six straight games on the road for the Oil Capitals. Two of those games will be at Credit Union Place in Dauphin. Virden (13) has played the second most home games compared to the rest of the MJHL. Northern Manitoba (15) is the only team in front of them at this point of the season. The Kings are at 10.

The Oil Capitals Special Teams are not the greatest considering where the team sits in the West Division standings. Their Power Play is rated 8th over at 22.4% while their Penalty Kill is third worst in the league at 72.5%.

Bryce Bryant (12G, 22A) leads the Oil Capitals in points with 34.
