DAUPHIN, MB - After battling back to earn a single point the Dauphin Kings will look for more this afternoon when they host the Winkler Flyers for the first time this season.

TONIGHT'S MATCHUP

KINGS (8-2-1-0)

Dauphin's effort in their 4-3 OT loss to Selkirk was not a bad one, and as mentioned they had many opportunities to win the game in regulation but a couple bounces and saves on the other side thwarted that chance.

Now the Kings look to get revenge on a Flyers team that beat them 5-1 in Winkler just one week ago. For Dauphin this is their final home game for two weeks in the City of Sunshine. They won't be back at Credit Union Place until November 9th. Then after that game they won't return until November 21st. Which basically works out to one game on home ice in the next 25 days after today.

Dauphin's Special Teams were good on Saturday, going 1 for 3 on the Power Play and 4 for 4 on the Penalty Kill. Entering today their Power Play is 4th in the MJHL at 26.5% while their Penalty Kill is now at 84.8% which is 7th.

Havryil Simchuk (7G, 4A) continues to lead the Kings in points coming into tonight's game, he's at 11.

FLYERS (6-7-1-0)

The Winkler Flyers continue their climb back up the MJHL's East Division Standings. After a dismal start to the year the Flyers have won four straight and now sit just two points back of the fourth place Portage Terriers. The Flyers, however, have played two more games than Portage.

Winkler is coming off two wins over the Swan Valley Stampeders on Friday and Saturday, so this will be their third game in as many days. After today's tilt they don't play again until November 7th when they visit the Niverville Nighthawks.

The Flyers have not scored on the man advantage so far this weekend and they've given up one Power Play goal against. Right now they're still 1st in the MJHL on the man advantage (27.7%) and 4th on the Penalty Kill (86.5%).

Niklas Gudmundson (10G, 14A) leads the Flyers in points so far this season with 24.
