TONIGHT'S MATCH UP

KINGS (8-4-0-0)

As mentioned tonight's game is an opportunity for the Kings to start gaining momentum. They've had a few days off and want to make up a little more ground after starting last week's road swing with disappointing losses to Selkirk and the Winnipeg Freeze.

This is game one of a two game weekend home stand for the Kings. On Sunday they will play the Winkler Flyers at 4:00pm. After Sunday's game the Kings will again head out on the road and not return to Dauphin for a contest until Friday November 8th.

A bit of a difficult week last week for the Kings on Special Teams. Currently their Power Play is at 21.2%, down from almost 26% last week. Their Penalty Kill has stayed steady though, now at 86%.

Cayden Glover (12G, 3A) looks to continue his goal scoring streak. Coming in to tonight he's scored in seven straight games and leads the Kings in points with 15.

BLUES (2-8-1-1)

Much like their cross town cousins the Winnipeg Blues are probably going to struggle to make the post season. Their record for the start of the season has put them in a tough spot when it comes to catching the teams in front of them.

This is game one of a two game road swing. They'll be in Portage on Tuesday, so yes, this is their only game this weekend.

The Blues' Special Teams are both in the bottom five of the league. Their Power Play is clicking at 7.5% while their Penalty Kill is moving along at 76.4%.

In 12 games Shawn Eliav is the Blues' leading scorer. He has four goals and three assists for seven points.
