TONIGHT'S MATCHUP
KINGS (10-6-1-0)
The Kings are still in search of their first win for the month of November and it won't be easy tonight with the Neepawa Titans. The Titans have won five of their last six games and have jumped well inside the West Division post season picture. The Kings, meanwhile, remain first in the MJHL's West Division but have just a one point advantage over the Virden Oil Capitals.
The Kings will conclude this current three game road swing Wednesday in Swan River. After Wednesday Dauphin begins a key stretch in their season which will see them play nine of 11 games at home before the Christmas Break.
Special Teams have the Kings 4th in the MJHL on the Power Play at 23.7% while their Penalty Kill is rated 7th at 81.0%.
Havryil Simchuk (8G, 11A) has points in all but two games since rejoining the Kings. He leads the team in points with 19.
TITANS (8-8-0-1)
As mentioned, the Neepawa Titans are in the process of recalibrating their season. At the start of the campaign the club was near the bottom of the MJHL's West Division but have moved up into a playoff position and have been playing good hockey.
The Titans have picked up recent wins over Selkirk (2) and Steinbach to help push them back into the playoff picture. Including tonight Neepawa has four of their next six games on home ice.
Special Teams wise the Titans are in the middle of the pack in both categories. Their Power Play sits 8th at 20.4% while their Penalty Kill is 6th at 81.2%.
Logan Paquette and Talen Wallis both lead the Titans in points with seven goals and nine assists for 16.
