Kings Ink First Round Draft Pick

The Dauphin Kings are pleased to announce that Gavin Nemis has committed to the organization ahead of the 2023-24 season.

The Kings selected Nemis in the first round of the 2022 MJHL Draft, 12th overall.

Nemis was in Dauphin for the team’s game this past Friday against Niverville where he was given a tour of the facility and he is thrilled to join the organization.

Doug Hedley had this to say on adding Nemis.

“He’s a young player that has some tremendous upside. He has good speed, a great skill set, and above average vision,” said Hedley. “He will be an exciting player to watch next season.”

Hedley also said it’s always very exciting to bring one of the top draft picks into the organization.

Playing with Rink Hockey Academy U18 out of Winnipeg this year, Gavin has scored seven times in 32 games while he has also added 19 assists. His 26 points are the fifth-most on the team.
