TONIGHT'S MATCH UP

KINGS (34-16-2-1) - 1st in West

Five regular season games remain as the Kings get closer to the MJHL Playoffs. With their loss to the Blizzard the Kings are just four points up on Norman for top spot.

After Portage tonight the Kings have games against Swan Valley tomorrow, Wayway on Tuesday, Neepawa on Friday and Wayway on Saturday next week to close out the year. The Kings have not made it easy on themselves and will likely need to win at least three of their final five games to clinch top spot in the West.

Dauphin's Power Play didn't get many chances on Tuesday and sits at 23.7% which is 3rd overall. Their Penalty Kill was solid on Tuesday and is at 82.8%, that's good enough for 5th.

No changes in points for the Kings on Tuesday. Gavin Nemis comes into the game with 14 goals and 36 assists and is just two points behind Cayden Glover for the team lead in points (52).

TERRIERS (39-14-0-1) - 3rd in East

The Terriers have not been to Dauphin since early October when they beat the Kings 3-2. Since then the two clubs have traded wins against each other in Portage. Their last meeting was in early January when the Terriers beat Dauphin 5-2.

Portage, like Dauphin, is fighting for playoff positioning. They're going to play the Steinbach Pistons in round one, but home ice is still in play as the Terriers sit just three points back but have played one more game. They have four contests left in their season and are coming off a 5-1 win against the Winnipeg Blues on Wednesday.

Portage's Special Teams are a bit of a mixed bag. Their Penalty Kill is strong, sitting at 83.1% which is 4th in the MJHL. Their Power Play, however, is in the bottom half of the league. It's 20.7%  and that's 8th overall.

Cameron Bullinger (20G, 43A) has pretty much led the Terriers in points from start to finish. Coming into tonight has 63.
