TONIGHT'S MATCHUP

KINGS (17-10-1-0)

The Dauphin Kings will try to get their second win of the week tonight when they welcome Wayway. The Kings have struggled so far in the month of December with losses in three of their last four. The good news for the Kings is they still sit first in the MJHL's West Division but if they don't start winning more games soon that could change.

It's the third to last game of 2025 for Dauphin. On Tuesday they'll visit the Blizzard in The Pas and then on Saturday it's Teddy Bear Toss Night when the Kings welcome the Wolverines back to Credit Union Place.

Special Teams continue to be a mixed bag for the Kings. Their Power Play is still rated 3rd in the MJHL at 24.4% while their Penalty Kill has slipped to 78.8% and is 7th.

Havryil Simchuck (16G, 15A) continues to lead the Kings in points with 31. He comes into tonight on a four game point streak (3G, 1A).

WOLVERINES (12-16-1-1)

A big win last night for the Waywayseecappo Wolverines as they edged the visiting Neepawa Titans 3-2. The victory is the Wolverines' third straight after falling to Niverville 6-1 to start December back on the 2nd.

Waywayseecappo has been hot and cold this season but still occupy the West Division's final playoff spot. They are 10 points clear of the Swan Valley Stampeders and will likely have no trouble making it to the playoffs once again this season.

Special Teams for the Wolverines are much like the Kings right now. Their Power Play is good at 23.4% which is 4th in the MJHL. Their Penalty Kill is not as great. It sits 9th at 77.4%.

Sebastien Hicks (15G, 22A) leads the Wolverines with 37 points.
