Kings Host Selkirk To Close Out Weekend

The Kings, although they have points in six straight games, will try to start another winning streak this evening. However it won't be easy as one of the top ranked teams in the East Division has been sitting for a week and waiting for tonight's tilt.

There's lots going on again at the rink tonight! The Home Hardware Football Toss returns with the pot starting at just under $300.00! Plus Tractor Lotto ticket sales continue. Everybody that buys tonight gets entered into a draw for a FREE single ticket donated by McMunn & Yates in Dauphin!

TONIGHT'S MATCH UP

KINGS (12-4-1-0)

Even though they didn't win Friday night the Dauphin Kings can clearly take some satisfaction in the fact they can play with the top teams in the MJHL and as things unfold over the next few months it should be exciting to watch for their fans.

The Kings close out their weekend home stand today against Selkirk but the schedule will remain busy with three games next week. They'll visit the Stampeders in Swan River Wednesday afternoon and then take on the Titans and Stampeders at Credit Union Place Friday & Saturday.

Dauphin's Special Teams were decent against the top ranked Pistons on Friday, going 1 for 5 on the Power Play and 4 for 5 on the Penalty Kill. The Kings are now 3rd in the MJHL on the man advantage (26.6%) and 2nd on the PK (85.7%).

Cayden Glover (15G, 7A) had a quiet night on Friday while Naaman Hofer (2G, 20A) scored on the man advantage. They both lead the Kings with 22 points.

PISTONS (12-5-0-1)

As mentioned above it's been a quiet week for the Selkirk Steelers. The Interlake club has not played since their loss to the Kings on Saturday last weekend and will be itching to get back in the win column.

Coming into this evening the Steelers have dropped four of their last five games. They'll visit Waywayseecappo on Wednesday before starting a three game home stand next weekend.

Selkirk's Special Teams have them 5th in the MJHL on the man advantage (22.5%) while their Penalty Kill sits 6th at 81.1%.

Owen Warnick (10G, 15A) leads the Steelers in points coming into this afternoon's game with 25.
