TONIGHT'S MATCHUP

KINGS (16-6-1-0)

The Kings will try to build off of yesterday's 2-1 win against the Selkirk Steelers. Late in the game Havryil Simchuk played hero scoring Dauphin's game winning goal.

It's the second of just two games this week for the Kings, but their schedule will tighten up a bit as they host a key game against the Virden Oil Capitals on Wednesday before meeting the Blues on Saturday for Hockey Card Night presented by Tim Hortons.

Dauphin scored on the Power Play Saturday night at Credit Union Place. Putting them at 25%, which is 4th in the MJHL. Penalty Kill wise the Kings are 7th at 80.3%.

With his goal and assist yesterday Havryil Simchuk continues to lead the Kings in points, he's up to 27. He comes into the game today with an eight game point streak (6G, 5A) and a four game goal scoring streak (4).

FLYERS (12-9-1-2)

It's the conclusion of a three game in three night swing for the visiting Winkler Flyers. The last two nights the southern Manitoba club has been in The Pas. They picked up wins on both Friday (3-1) and Saturday (5-4 SO). The last time the Flyers were in town was the conclusion of another 3-in-3 as well. That time the Kings beat them 3-1 after they spent the two previous nights in Swan River.

The schedule after today's game for the Flyers will be a bit more balanced as they see four home games and four road games in the month of December.

Winkler is ahead of Dauphin in both Special Teams categories. On the Power Play they're ranked third at 25.4% while their Penalty Kill is the second best in the league at 87.3%.

With 14 goals and 19 assists Niklas Gudmundson leads the Flyers in points with 33. He went pointless in last night's win in The Pas.
