DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings conclude their 2025-26 regular season campaign tonight when they welcome the Winnipeg Blues to Credit Union Place.
It'll be an extra special night for four forwards as they join the Kings for the team's final regular season contest. Local products Forrest Karlson, Noah Smigelsky and Landyn Garton (Parkland Rangers) join Tryp Klassen of the Central Plains Capitals (U18 AAA) in the line up this evening.
When it comes to the standings the game is meaningless to the Kings. They cannot go up or down. They are locked in 2nd place in the MJHL's West Division, but no team wants to end their season on home ice with a loss. Friday night it was confirmed that the Kings will play Waywayseecappo in the opening round of the playoffs. The schedule is still to be determined.
Don't forget there's lots going on at tonight's game. It's Rain Check Night meaning any unused Season & Flex tickets can be used to get into the game. It's also Awards Night and the Kings will hand out all their 2025-26 awards before, during and after the game! Plus the 50/50 is already over $2,200.00 thanks to Fusion Credit Union!

DAUPHIN KINGS AWARDS FINALISTS
TONIGHT'S MATCH UP
KINGS (32-23-2-0) - 2nd in West
The Dauphin Kings conclude their home schedule tonight at Credit Union Place. Home ice has been hot and cold for the Kings in 2025-26. Right now they sit with a record of 16-11-1-0, a record that has improved as of late. Since February 10th the Kings are 4-1-0-0 at Credit Union Place. A win tonight would send them into the post season on a four game winning streak.
Unlike last season the Kings don't even have to wait until the final buzzer to know who they're going to play in the first round of the post season. That's already decided. It'll be the Waywayseecappo Wolverines. Last night Wayway beat Neepawa to lock up 3rd in the West Division. The schedule is still to be determined.
Dauphin's Special Teams come into this evening 6th in the MJHL on the Power Play at 22.3% while their Penalty Kill is 9th at 78.9%.
Ethan Stewart (19G, 28A) leads the Kings in points with 47 points. He comes into this evening's affair on a 13 game point streak with eight goals and 13 assists in that stretch.
BLUES (18-34-4-0) - 6th in East
Another year and another missed opportunity when it comes to making the MJHL Playoffs for the Winnipeg Blues. The Blues have not been in the post season since 2022. This year Winnipeg did show some positives, they improved on their record from last season where they won just nine games. They're currently at 40 points, but still over 30 points outside the East Division playoffs.
This is Winnipeg's second to last game of the regular season. They'll wrap it up tomorrow when they host the Virden Oil Capitals. March has been a rough schedule for the Blues, in total when it's all said and done they will have played 10 games in 15 nights. That includes a four game in four night swing. Tonight's contest is Winnipeg's third in four nights.
Winnipeg's Special Teams are both in the bottom half of the MJHL. Their Power Play is ranked 12th at 14.8% while their Penalty Kill is 8th at 79.2%.
Campbell Epp (25G, 22A) leads the Blues in scoring with 47 points.
