Kings Hope To Build Momentum In Big West Division Tilt
DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings will go for their second straight win tonight when they welcome the Neepawa Titans to Credit Union Place for the final time this season.
The two teams met at the start of the month with Neepawa coming out on top, now they'll close out January on the final day of the month.
It's the second to last battle between the clubs this season. They'll play in Neepawa at the end of February. At this point the possibility is strong the two teams could face off in the first round of the MJHL Playoffs, but obviously not confirmed with a month and a half still remaining in the campaign.
Opening face off at Credit Union Place is slated for 7:00pm!

TONIGHT'S MATCHUP
KINGS (22-17-1-0) - 2nd in West
The Dauphin Kings will likely be happy to be rid of the month of January after tonight. So far this month their record is 3-6-0-0 and they will look for much better things in February, a month that will see them play 11 games in 27 days.
Tonight's game also marks the start of the final lengthy home stand of the season for the Kings. It's a three gamer and will conclude Tuesday against Swan Valley. After the stretch the longest amount of games in a row Dauphin will have at home will be two.
It's game two of a three game week for the Kings. They'll conclude it on home ice tomorrow afternoon against the Niverville Nighthawks. Niverville is off tonight.
Special Teams were mixed in Tuesday's win over Northern Manitoba. Dauphin's Power Play went 0 for 3, now putting them at 22% which is 9th overall. Meanwhile their Penalty Kill was 3 for 3, improving them to 78.6% and 8th overall.
Matthew O'Sullivan (20G, 16A) and Nicholas Zaharias (10G, 26A) remain tied for the Kings lead in scoring with 36 points.
TITANS (22-17-0-1) - 3rd in West
In the race for home ice advantage in the MJHL Playoffs the Neepawa Titans will split their time on the road and at home over their final 18 games. They'll play 10 away and eight at home. Twelve of those 18 affairs are against teams currently in the MJHL Playoff Picture. If you look at the schedule from the Kings side Dauphin plays eight of their next 18 against playoff teams, nine at home.
Neepawa wont be too happy coming into tonight after a disappointing 4-2 loss on home ice to the Winnipeg Monarchs last night. The Titans are 5-4-0-0 in January.
Special Teams have the Titans ranked very high on the Power Play. It's strong and sits atop the MJHL at 26.2%, a full percent ahead of the next closest team. Neepawa's Penalty Kill is 5th at 80.1%
Logan Paquette (14G, 27A) leads the Titans in scoring with 41 points.
