DAUPHIN, MB - For the first time since the 2021-22 season the Dauphin Kings have the league's Top Defenseman.
Naaman Hofer won the honour Friday afternoon after a strong MJHL campaign. Parker Malchuk took the accolade in 2021-22.
The Winnipeg product leads his team in assists with 42 and has six goals so far this season. Earlier in the year Hofer committed to play NCAA Division I hockey at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
Earlier this week the 20 year old was named to the MJHL's First All-Star Team as well.
Hofer and his Kings have a handful of games left in their season before the playoffs begin in two weeks. After Friday's game at home against Portage they'll visit Swan River on Saturday before going to Wayway Tuesday, Neepawa on Friday and then closing out 2024-25 with a tilt against the Wolverines at Credit Union Place.
Next Saturday's game the Kings will give out their own Regular Season Awards and it's also Rain Check Night!
