TONIGHT'S MATCHUP

KINGS (28-21-2-0) - 2nd in West

With a week off from game action there has been a lot going on outside the realm of the Dauphin Kings. The team now finds themselves second in the West Division. They're even in points with the Waywayseecappo Wolverines, but Dauphin has a game in hand. The Wolverines are off tonight and in Niverville tomorrow.

As mentioned it's a two game weekend for the Kings. Tonight also marks the start of five of the next six games on the road for Dauphin as they hunt for home ice advantage in the first round of the MJHL Playoffs.

Dauphin's Special Teams will need to be good over the next two weeks. Their Power Play enters tonight at 23.2% which is 6th in the MJHL. On the Penalty Kill side the Kings are 9th in the league at 78.8%.

Matthew O'Sullivan (22G, 21A) comes into the weekend as the Kings leading scorer with 43 points.

TITANS (25-23-1-1) - 4th in West

Likely to make the playoffs in March the Neepawa Titans are struggling a little with losses in four of their last five games. The Titans still remain 14 points up on the Swan Valley Stampeders for the final playoff spot in the MJHL's West Division. The Stampeders have just eight games left in their season and will almost have to win out to bump Neepawa from the post season. That also means the Titans would have to lose out. So it's only a matter of time before Neepawa clinches the MJHL's final playoff berth.

Neepawa has eight games left in their year including tonight and they still have three games against the Swan Valley Stampeders, although things may already be decided by the time they reach that point in their schedule.

Special Teams are both very solid for the Titans. They have the second best Power Play in the MJHL at 25.5%. At home their numbers on the man advantage are even better at 30.1%. For Neepawa's Penalty Kill they sit 6th in the MJHL at 80.8%, but surprisingly not better at home at 75.3%.

Jack Clark is atop the Titans in scoring with 28 goals and 25 assists for 53 points.
