DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings saw some financial success in the 2024-25 hockey season and are looking forward to the upcoming year.
Sunday night at their Annual General Meeting the team announced they profited almost $50,000.00 in 2024-25. More financials can be viewed on the right.
Ashley Shaw reported the Kings Tractor Lotto had some decent success in 2024, making about $105,000.
Director Rae Csversko says the Kings Grow/Ag Project is once again up and running thanks again to the great sponsors and volunteers of the hockey club. The team has once again planted soybeans just north of the City by the Vermillion Sportsplex.
Governor Christian Laughland noted the MJHL is strong and will remain a 13 team league for the 2025-26 season with one notable change being the Winnipeg Freeze changing their name to the Winnipeg Monarchs going forward. This change is already in place.
Laughland, who is also in charge of the Kings Par 3, says registration for the tournament on Saturday September 13th will open up soon. Sponsors are currently being contacted. He added that he expects it to be a great day on the course with both staff and players taking part or volunteering.
Scott McCallum & Doug Hedley spoke on a successful hockey season which fell short in game seven of the league final. They added recruiting for next season is well underway and they're looking forward to another strong campaign.
The Kings will be looking for new board members in the coming months as both Ashley Shaw (President) and Doug Coughlan (Finance) stepped down. The team would like to thank both Ashley and Doug for their time and help over the years on the board of directors!
