The Dauphin Kings never trailed on Friday night as they cruised to their 38th win of the season over their Parkland rival.

On a night in which they scored four times in the second period alone, the Kings earned a 7-3 win at Credit Union Place.

Dauphin opened up the game by scoring three straight goals and they never looked back in the four-goal win. Nakodan Greyeyes, Nick Braun and Owen Wareham scored the team’s first three goals. Carter Cockburn would score a goal to cut the deficit to 3-1 after 20.

Mathew Rathbone would score his first goal since returning to the lineup and it was a beautiful play in the second in which he outlasted Kobe Grant. Brayden Dube, Tanner Brouwer and Kaden Bryant also scored for Dauphin in the second as they led 7-2 after 40 with Darius Makse scored Swan Valley’s second goal.

Late in the third, Callum Fortin scored his 10th goal of the season with just a few minutes left. In the end, that was it.

Dauphin and Swan Valley will complete their season series on Saturday when the Kings host Ukrainian Night. You can watch the game on HockeyTV.
