DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings bounced back from their disappointing weekend with a big 7-2 victory over the Swan Valley Stampeders.

The Kings set the tone in the first five minutes, getting a goal from Rylan Gage (11) to get off and running. The momentum was a bit short lived as the Stampeders would tie it up, but Dauphin would stick with it and get two more goals before the period was out. First it was Nicholas Zaharias (14) to make it 2-1 and then Quinten Fisk (7) would make it 3-1.

In the second Dauphin scored the only two goals and continued to control things. Madden Murray (10) would tally right after a Kings Penalty Kill expired and then Ethan Stewart (15) would notch a goal off a nice passing play.

The third had Swan Valley score to make it 5-2 at 9:04 but just nien seconds later Ash Mitchelmore (8) restored the four goal lead and then Quinten Fisk (8) would put an exclamation point on the night with his second goal. It was a Power Play marker to make the final 7-2.

Special Teams were won by Dauphin on Wednesday night. The Kings finished 3 for 5 on the Power Play and 5 for 5 on the Penalty Kill.

Shots were also in favour of the Kings, 33-31. Bryson Yaschyshyn was solid in goal, picking up the victory.

The Kings get two days off before returning to play on Saturday against the Virden Oil Capitals. Game time is 7:00pm! The game is sponsored by Dauphin PBR, Kings Hockey Cards will be autographed and free for fans after the game and Early Bird Season Tickets go on sale as well!

The Kings are now 27-21-2-0 on the year and move back into sole possession of second place in the MJHL's West Division.
