TONIGHT'S MATCH UP

KINGS (18-6-1-0)

It's an opportunity this week for the Dauphin Kings to send a message to the rest of the MJHL with games against the Blizzard tonight and the Steinbach Pistons in Dauphin on Saturday. The Kings enter the week on that three game winning streak and concluded November with a record of 8-2-1-0 in the month.

The month of December will be a consistent one for the Kings. They'll basically play two games a week until they hit the Christmas break. This week it's Norman and Steinbach, next week a Tuesday affair on home ice against Wayway and then Wednesday in Norman. Then Sunday for Tractor Lotto Night against Swan Valley before ending the stretch in Norman again on Tuesday December 17th.

Dauphin's Penalty Kill was excellent in Virden on Saturday and coming into this evening it's ranked first overall at 86.5% and as the road team they're even better at 90%. Meanwhile the team's Power Play struggled Saturday but is still strong at 24.4% which is second overall.

MJHL Player of the Month Cayden Glover (22G, 10A) comes into the game second in the league in scoring.

BLIZZARD (15-10-0-1)

It's been a turbulent last couple of weeks for the Northern Manitoba Blizzard. After being neck and neck with the Kings for top spot in the West Division they have dropped four straight and are now six points back.

After tonight the Blizzard go on the road for two straight before returning home for four in a row and then ending the month with two more on the road.

Norman's Special Teams come into tonight a bit mixed. Their Penalty Kill is second worst in the league at 71.8%, only better than their highway 10 rivals the Swan Valley Stampeders. Their Power Play is decent. It's sixth overall at 20.8%.

Miguel Bouvier is the top point getter for the Norman Blizzard. He has 14 goals and 15 assists so far this season.
