
DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings will try to even up their best-of-seven MJHL Final Series tonight when they visit the Northern Manitoba Blizzard for Game 6.
The Kings are coming off one of their better post season games this spring, a 3-0 victory at Credit Union Place on Sunday.
Opening face off this evening is slated for 7:00pm in The Pas. If a Game 7 does end up on the menu it'll take place Thursday night at Credit Union Place.

TONIGHT'S MATCH UP

In Sunday's Game 5 the Blizzard carried things in the opening 20 minutes but it was the Kings who controlled after that as they were the better team in the second and third periods. Ultimately it led to their home ice victory on Sunday and forcing a Game 6 in The Pas tonight.
The game Sunday saw over 1200 fans come out to Credit Union Place. Now the series shifts back to the very small ice surface in The Pas. The Kings have won here before, beating Northern Manitoba 3-2 in triple overtime back in Game 2 of this series.
SPECIAL TEAMS
The Kings were the winners of the Special Teams battle on Sunday. They had just one man advantage in the affair, but they made it count when Ethan Stewart tallied for his team to give Dauphin a 2-0 lead at that time. On the other side the Blizzard had three attempts and failed to score on all of them.
As of now this is how each team's Special Teams numbers stack up in the MJHL Playoffs.
Kings

Blizzard

LEADING SCORERS
The driving force of Dauphin's 3-0 win on Sunday was the line of Havryil Simchuk (5G, 7A), Gabriel Bugeaud (5G, 6A) and Ethan Stewart (3G, 6A). Simchuk, along with Cayden Glover (5G, 7A) and Matthew Thomas (7G, 5A) lead the Kings in playoff scoring coming into tonight. The three have 12 points.
For the Blizzard it's Tyler Dahms continuing to lead the way for both his team and the MJHL. He has three goals and 11 assists for 14 points.
