TONIGHT'S MATCHUP

KINGS (23-18-1-0) - 2nd in West

It's the second to last meeting between the Kings and Stampeders this season tonight. Dauphin has been in control of the season series so far with wins in three out of the four get togethers. The lone blemish was the season opener where the Kings blew a 3-0 lead en route to a 6-3 loss in Swan River.

Dauphin will look for their third win in four games tonight after they picked up four of a possible six points last week. When it comes to the standings the Kings remain second in the West Division. Neepawa is two points back with a game in hand, the Titans are in Waywayseecappo tonight.

Special Teams were not great in the Kings' 5-1 loss to Niverville on Sunday. They were 5 for 9 on the Penalty Kill. Those numbers slipped them to 77.6% which is 8th overall. Their Power Play is 9th at 21.6%.

Nicholas Zaharias is alone atop the Kings scoring with 10 goals and 26 assists for 36 points.

STAMPEDERS (13-23-3-1) - 5th in West

In what has been a pretty dismal season for the Swan Valley Stampeders there is still some hope the team can catch the Waywayseecappo Wolverines for the final playoff spot in the West Division. Entering tonight the Stampeders are 12 points behind the Wolverines for 4th in the West. They have three games in hand on Waywayseecappo and will need to win all three to cut the deficit to six points. Wayway is home to Neepawa this evening.

Swan Valley's schedule in the month of February sees them play 12 games. The first four of them are on the road and are not easy after tonight. They'll go to Portage, Winkler and Norther Manitoba to close out the stretch. After that the Stamps play seven of eight games against teams currently inside the MJHL's playoff picture.

Swan Valley's Special Teams have their Power Play rated 6th in the MJHL at 23.6% while their Penalty Kill is 12th in league at 68.2%.

Ben Groome (12G, 18A) leads the Stampeders with 30 points.
