Kings go for split in 2021 finale

Friday night wasn’t the night the Dauphin Kings were looking for but the team has a chance to rebound just 24 hours later.

In their final game of 2021, the Kings welcome the Steeltown Boys to town to wrap up what has been a tremendous first few months of the year. Dauphin is 22-7 entering the game; however, Selkirk did a great job defensively on Friday night and didn’t give Dauphin much space to get anything going offensively.

The Steelers came out firing with a goal just 30 seconds into the contest and they added one late in the first period and they allowed just three shots against in the second period, the lowest total for Dauphin in a single period this season.

It’s also Hockey Night in Treaty 2 at the rink tonight, there will be plenty of entertainment throughout the evening and Cary Fillion’s Twin Motors is the main sponsor tonight.

It’s the final game of 2021 so make lots of noise tonight and cheer on your Kings as they look to earn their 23rd win. Dauphin is 11-3 on home ice this season.
