Kings get to 25, enter first

The Dauphin Kings are on top of the MGEU West Division all alone.

Ending their weekend in Niverville, Dauphin came out on fire and ended up downing the Nighthawks, 5-2.

Dauphin scored the first five goals in the game while Cole Sheffield was tremendous as he ended up making 40 saves. Dauphin has now improved to 25-15-2-1 as they lead the division by two points over three teams.

Myles Yearwood scored the lone goal in the first period with just more than six minutes left. Leading after 20 minutes, Dauphin went to work offensively with three goals in the second period. Nicholas Hatton, Nolan Wickham, and Mason Smith did the scoring for Dauphin. Deepkaran Hans then finished off a pretty passing play in the third with his 12th of the season.

Niverville would also score twice in the third period; however, it was too little too late. The Kings return to the ice on Tuesday as they play the Virden Oil Capitals on the road.
