Kings’ Gaber Makes Team Canada West

LEDUC, AB – Dauphin Kings forward Riese Gaber has cracked Team Canada West’s roster for the upcoming World Junior A Challenge in Bonnyville, Alberta.

The forward, who hails from Gilbert Plains, was selected to the club’s 22 man roster earlier on Wednesday and will miss the upcoming two and a half weeks with the Kings to help Team Canada West defend their gold medal title which they won last year over Russia in Ontario.

Gaber and the rest of Team Canada West will begin their journey on Friday when they play an exhibition game against Team USA in Cold Lake, Alberta. The round robin of the World Junior A Challenge begins Sunday for Team West when they take on Switzerland.

Joel Malchuk (2006) and Mitch Van Teeling (2010) were the others.
