Kings’ Gaber Heading To Team West Tryouts

DAUPHIN, MB – Team Canada West announced their tryout roster on Monday and Dauphin Kings forward Riese Gaber has made the cut. 

Gaber, a product of Gilbert Plains, Manitoba, is currently third on the Kings in scoring with 12 points in 17 contests as a 17 year old with Dauphin.

Canada West’s tryouts will be held in Leduc, Alberta which is just south of Edmonton.

Gaber joins Kings Head Coach and General Manager Marc Berry who will be an Assistant Coach on Team West’s bench.

The World Junior A Challenge takes place in Bonnyville, Alberta this year. The event runs from Sunday December 11th to Saturday December 17th. Six teams take part in the World Junior A Challenge, Canada West, Canada East, Team USA, Russia, Czech Republic and Switzerland.

Team West will look for back-to-back gold medal wins after last year’s group took out Russia (2-1) in the championship contest.
