Kings Finish Preseason On A High

NEEPAWA, MB – The Dauphin Kings completed their MJHL Preseason schedule on a high Saturday night in Neepawa.

Parker Simonson, Darren Gisti and Kelby Picard all scored to lift Dauphin to a 3-1 victory.

The first star of the night was Kings goalie Brandon Holtby, he made 61 saves on 62 shots according to the in house stat trackers. Most of the shots came on power plays for the Natives, who had a handful of more man advantages than Dauphin. The Kings had 27 shots Saturday.

The win puts Dauphin at 2-4-0 in the MJHL Preseason. The club will now regroup next week and get set for their season opener in Swan River next Friday.

The Kings Home Opener is Friday September 30th against the Stampeders. FREE tickets are available for pickup at the Dauphin Clinic Pharmacy!
