Kings Fall Behind 3-0

DAUPHIN, MB - For the second straight game at home the Dauphin Kings had chances to end things, but couldn't, this time in a 3-2 double overtime loss to the Waywayseecappo Wolverines.

The Kings started Tuesday's contest well, scoring the opening goal after killing off two straight penalties. Madden Murray tallied his first of the post season to get his team out in front.

Dauphin would take the 1-0 lead to the intermission, but Wayway would respond with two goals in the middle frame. The Kings would tie it up shortly after the Wolverines took the lead. Sixteen seconds after Wayway went up 2-1 Joey Kubas (2) made it 2-2 heading to the final frame.

In the third the two teams couldn't hit the score sheet.

The Kings had a man advantage in the first overtime but could not score even though they out shot Waywayseecappo 9-1. In double OT the Wolverines would end it just over one minute in.

Shots finished 38-26 for the Kings. Bryson Yaschyshyn was good in the win and made some key saves for Dauphin.

Power Plays finished in favour of the Wolverines went 1 for 5 and Dauphin was 0 for 2.

The Kings will try to get the series back to Dauphin on Thursday when they visit the Wolverines for game four of the set. Opening face off for game four is at 7:30pm in Waywayseecappo!
