Kings’ enter 2022 stretch

The Dauphin Kings play five more times in 2022 before the team gets a well-deserved two-week break from game action.

Dauphin will enter this week riding a four-game losing streak, but they have the chance to change that against one of the top teams in the league.

Wednesday, December 07 @ Portage Terriers

Dauphin came out on fire and took a 3-0 lead in their lone meeting with Portage this season and they ended up winning the contest, 4-3. The team has not won since that victory.

Headline: It will be Blake Boudreau playing against his former team for the first time. Boudreau has suited up in two Terrier games so far after Dauphin traded him last Thursday.

On the Kings side, Jamie Valentino will go up against his former team after starting the season with Portage and playing 12 games with them.

Friday, December 09 @ Winnipeg Freeze

It’s the second meeting between the two clubs and in the first one, the two clubs combined for 10 goals in a 6-4 win for Dauphin.

Winnipeg has won just two games this year, but they do have some pretty decent skill and can be a lot to handle at times. Dauphin can’t take the foot off the gas pedal if they want to have success.

Sunday, December 11 vs Swan Valley Stampeders

Swan Valley will come to town sizzling. After a weekend sweep against Neepawa, Swan Valley has won 11 of their last 13 games.

They’re now on top of the West Division and the Kings trail them by just six points.

Headline: It’s an all-Parkland battle and a rematch of last year’s first round of the playoff.

It’s also Tractor Lotto Sunday and someone will be walking away with the $100,000.00 grand prize, among other cash prizes.

Friday, December 16 vs Swan Valley Stampeders

Dauphin’s schedule doesn’t get any easier as Swan Valley is once again back in town. As mentioned above, the Stampeders will enter December 11 game against the Kings with 11 wins in their last 13 games.

The two teams have split their season series so far with Swan Valley winning at the Centennial and Dauphin winning at Credit Union Place.

Headline: Deekparan Hans plays his second game against his former team. He had two goals and 14 assists in 22 games with Swan Valley last season.

Saturday, December 17 vs Waywayseecappo Wolverines

The final chance of 2022 for the home fans to watch the Kings in action at Credit Union Place and it’s also Dauphin’s final game before the Christmas break.

The Wolverines downed Dauphin, 6-4, at Credit Union Place only to see Dauphin respond in a very solid 5-0 win against Waywayseecappo just a couple of days later.

Headline: At the time of posting, Waywayseecappo holds a slim three-point lead over Dauphin in the MGEU West Division. This very well could change by the time these two teams play, but they will be close, regardless of what happens.
