Kings Earn First Win Of 2026

DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings scored three goals in the first period and didn't look back in a 5-2 win Tuesday night over the Waywayseecappo Wolverines.

The win is Dauphin's first of 2026 and concludes and mammoth stretch of 10 straight games on home ice.

In the opening period Dauphin got goals from Joey Kubas (8), Cam Jansa (3) and Kale Pratte (8). Kubas score just over two minutes in while Pratte tallied with four seconds on the clock.

The Wolverines would make it close in the second with a couple quick goals, but Kubas (9) would take the wind out of their sails in the second half of the period with his second of the evening.

In the third Rylan Gage would get the only goal of the period, a shorthanded empty netter to solidify the Kings' win.

For the second straight game in 2026 the shots were in favour of the Kings. This time they out shot Wayway 34-26. Bryson Yaschyshyn took the win between the pipes for Dauphin.

Special Teams had the Kings going 0 for 5 on the Power Play and 4 for 5 on the Penalty Kill.

It's a quick turnaround for the 20-11-1-0 Kings. They'll be right back in action tomorrow when they visit the Portage Terriers. Game time is 7:30pm. The next Kings home game comes up on Friday when Dauphin welcomes Steinbach to Credit Union Place! That game goes at 7:00pm!
