Kings Double Wolverines On Tractor Lotto Night

DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings scored three goals in the third period in a come from behind 4-2 win over the Waywayseecappo Wolverines Sunday night at Credit Union Place.

The game started slow for the Kings, as they found themselves down 1-0 after 20.

In the second period Rylan Gage (6) would tie things up but the even score was short lived with the Wolverines retaking the lead three minutes after Gage had tied it up.

In the third it was all Dauphin on the score sheet. First Nicholas Zaharias tied things up with his eighth of the year four minutes in. That was followed up with Daniel Helary (13) grabbing his team leading fifth game winner. Havryil Simchuk continued his point streak. He scored and empty netter and was named the game's first start with three points (1G, 2A).

Shots ended up at 34-19 for Dauphin. Bryson Yaschyshyn grabbed the win between the pipes.

Power plays ended with the Kings going 1 for 4 while Wayway was 1 for 6.

That concludes the Kings season high seven game home stand. Dauphin finished the home stand with a record of 3-4-0-0. They're now 18-10-1-0 on the season and remain first in the MJHL's West Division. They'll return to action on Tuesday when they go north to The Pas to face the Northern Manitoba Blizzard. After that the Kings play their final game before the Christmas Break on Saturday December 20th. It's Teddy Bear Toss Night and sponsored by the Dauphin Clinic Pharmacy!
